Wait until the price drops kick in, and then I'd be looking at either the Q6600 or the Q9550.

Q9450 is approaching EOL, being replaced by the Q9400, cheaper, but with less cache, hence why I'd be looking at the Q9550.

Q6600 vs Q9950 = Q9550 everytime

If you can afford it get the Q9550 for £200 next week or even the q9400 for £170.
