Hi all,

Hi Guys,

I installed a Q6600 in to my system a few days ago. I have overclocked it to 3.2GHz and it seems pretty stable and the settings in my BIOS are as follows:

SLI-Ready Memory = Disabled
FSB-Memory Clock Mode = Linked And Sync'd

FSB (QDR), MHz = 1433
Mem(DDR), MHz = 711

Memory Timing Setting = Optimal @ 4 4 4 15 - 1T
FSB : Dram = 1:1

-----------------------------

Voltages: (from BIOS)

Cpu Core = 1.46 (VDROOP = between 0.5 and 1.0) @ 357 x 9
CPU FSB = 1.5v
Memory = 2.1v
NForce Spp = Auto (1.4v)
NForce MCP = Auto (1.5)
HT NForce SPP <-> MCP = Auto (1.2v)

Another Screenshot of a small prime 95 run i did last night.

I upped the VCORE to 1.46 as in Bad company 2 i was getting a screen lock every few hours.

Any thoughts guys?

I am unsure why your posts aren't getting responses but I might try some of your settings tonight. I had managed to hit 3GHz but it wasn't stable enough and when I tried to upgrade to P31 bios, I got a PCI to PCI-x bridge clash in device manager. This was fixed by upgrading to the P33 bios but that just hates any settings I throw at it.

What version of bios are you using on your board? Pretty sure mine is an A1 revision board like yours.

Im on the P31 Bios (as the Evga forum people reckon its the best bios for Quad's)

The last few weeks i have not run into any problems at all. Bad Company 2 runs fine with no crashes.

I ran LinX the other day and had no issues.

Post your settings -BA- anyway.

I am no expert at all but may be able to help;)

I couldn't get the P33 bios to boot into windows with no end of voltage settings and unfortunately not able to run windows properly with the P31 as I get that PCI/PCI-x clash in device manager.

Can't even remember what my old bios was I flashed from.

When did you format last?

If i was getting that device manager clash, i would re-install windows and see if the P31 would work then as seemingly it is the Bios to have for the Q6600.

Formatted last far too long ago. Hate doing it, find it very tedious and always forget something I wish I had kept. Agreed it could be an issue and may get around to it soon but knowing me I won't prioritise it :)

It sure is a painful procedure all right;).

I see you use RAID which makes it even more so.

You have probably tried this, but maybe uninstall the Nvidia chipset drivers using driver sweeper and re-install them.
