Hi. I'm looking at getting a bit more performance out of my computer. Seemingly it shouldn't be too hard, after searching on here i seem to have a good base to try an overclock. I'm not looking to set new benchmarks, just to make it a bit quicker and extend its lifespan, rather than upgrade. The problem is, i don't have a clue how to go about it
Spec is:
GeIL 4GB (4x1GB) PC5300C4 667MHz Value DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB5300DC)

Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "LGA775 Kentsfield" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
Its also got 140mm Noctua case fan and a Silent Knight on the CPU so cooling should be fine.
I tried the programs listed in the guides and some of the links don't work, or they just seem to monitor, confirming current clock speed of 2.4.
Can anyone help or suggest values i can enter in the bios settings(if thats what i need)??
Cheers,
Jack
