Q6600 overclock?

my asus p5k clocks my q6600 to 3.6ghz all on auto settings, but then my mobo is fully watercooled. Been running pretty stable for several months.

what temps do you get after 30 mins or prime95 or Intel Burn test?
as these temps on watercoolers look to be very good

also sneblot, do a screen grab after 30 mins please?
may just go down the water cooling route myself
Oh and could you have cpu-z open as well, so i can see your voltage

3.8ghz on air cooling was the best i eeked out of mine, lapped cpu and TRUE black cooler, 1.5125 vcore in bios, temps at 68-68-62-62 in p95. The voltage jumps get pretty high, at 3.6ghz i needed 1.400 vcore. Board was an asus p45 p5q deluxe, probably one of the best for clocking quads. Ran it at 3.8 for almost a year before selling it on. Seen people run them for much longer on higher vcore than mine was at, theyre a pretty robust cpu.

Sadly I have had to lower mine down to 3.2Ghz, though I have a feeling this is down to my board rather then the chip.

Still rocking Q6600

I run 3.6GHz on water and havent been above 32 degrees yet. I have been up to 3.86GHz but not 100% stable long term in games, I have not managed to boot into windows at 4GHz yet.

I run at 1.475 volts at the moment.

My Q6600 that I now use in my work machine has now decided that it doesn't want to overclock anymore and it makes up it's own mind as to what speed it runs at. With speedstep and all the other power saving stuff turned off, all I set it to was 8 x 400MHz and when it reboots it decides that the result of that sum is 2.14GHz .

Not that fussed though as I don't do anything major with the machine so got it all set to stock and turned all the power saving stuff back on, may as well do my bit for the environment
