hi
i have just bought this cpu and was hopeing you could advise me on a good motherboard for this cpu, i am looking around £150 your help would be very much appreciated thanks very much inadvance

Abit IP35 or Asus P5K Premium or perhaps Asus Maximus Formula 2 if you want to splash the cash. The Asus P5Q Deluxe is also popular.

Asus Maximus Extreme for DDR3 or Asus Maximus Formula for DDR2 are awesome boards. I have the Extreme and one of my friends has the Formula. I can probably get you most of the settings for tuning it up (depending on what your Q6600 can handle, not all Q6600s are the same).

Make sure you check the thread I posted about warranties, though. The two brands suggested so far are Asus and DFI, both of which have some pretty borderline warranty policies.
