Q8300 Core Temp Question

Ok i have a Core 2 Quad Q8300 Oc @ 3.4GHz and its cooled with a CooliT eco alc.
core temps are
idle load
1 42 62
2 36 54
3 37 56
4 37 56

is it normal for this chip to run hot on core 1 ive had it out today and re done the thermal paste and tested it again and its the same.???

yeh thats fine, its rare to see all cores staying close to each other, so its not a major issue.

Lapping the cpu and cooler may ofcourse help, but that is no guarantee either, its nothing to worry about really.
