Q9450 and Asus Rampage X48 DDR2

I've got a Maximus Formula and waiting for a 9450 aswell. All my bits for the new builds here except the CPU

Motam, If you want to go SLi, the P7N would be a good choice.

For those of you wanting to clock the Q9000 series quads here's a heads up. Over at XS these have been maxxing out with a fsb of only 435-437mhz. That's on X38 boards and you really need to increase the board voltage just to reach that. That really does'nt look good with the low multipliers on these cpu's.

Nonsense. There are two examples here on the XS site that has the FSB at 450 on a Q9450, one of them at stock.

Hey,

Can anyone tell me the difference between the rampage quad core extreme edition and the other one, the difference in price is £10.

Also why is the Retail version of the q9450 cheaper than the what I assume is the OEM version?

ATLANT3AN

So where are the thread(s) that say that then?

If its affecting Asus boards perhaps its a BIOS issue. Certainly the Maximus Formula is not marked down as supporting the Q9450 on their CPU Support list yet.

Some in here on P5E and Maximus. Same boards basically so would expect the same problems. Seem to need very high mobo voltages for stability. Maybe due to lack of support as you say.

There's also the start of some interesting flashing of P5E and Maximus boards to the Rampage bios with great success. Can't say i have had the guts to do it myself...........Yet. Watching with great interest though.

Any update on the availability of these, anyone in the know? :)

I have ordered
Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset
Logitech G5 Mouse

Which now means I have everything completely baring Blu ray RW Drive (Future addition)

Getting desperate for these two :p, I wanna build dammit!
