q9550 = poor overclocker?

I second this. I've got roughly the same vcore as well, 1.2v under load @ 3.8GHz. Thanks to setter i managed to get the overclock easily and is entirely stable after many hours of prime. Temps are also very nice with the fenrir.
 
anyone got a C1 stepping Q9550?

I have as part of a prebuilt rig and I wanted to know what people got their c1 oc'd to?

BTW what exactly is C1 and E0 stepping etc...?? I'm not 100% sure
 
C1 is the first/older 9550 revision, E0 stepping of each model seem to OC better than their earlier versions.
