Read on various threads that Intel are going to cut Yorkfield CPU's to counter the AMD Phenom II, notably Anandtech for one.

Might be worth waiting till the end of the month if your thinking of upgrading to either Quad Intel or Quad AMD.

Might take a while for any cuts to filter through the supply chain.
And it seems like Phenom will now go up against the CPU that is 1 up from what it currently is priced againsts.

As far as I'm aware when Intel do price cuts they do it direct to the retailer thus the cuts should be pretty quick.
 
Not so good either considering it was £20 cheaper a few months back. I'll buy one if they settle well under £200, but I suspect they won't as the Core series are still Intels bread and butter.
