thanks

FAB!, im hoping to get my order in before Xmas, hoping my mate buys my old bits first!! all waits on him...

anyone else confirm they get e0?

Here is a screeny from CPU-Z
I ordered mine on Sunday, it arrived today.

I bought the Q9550 OEM

The part i received has the latest E0 stepping.

Nice chip, it runs very cool (not overclocked yet).

Will be most interested to know how you get on with o/cing this E0.....

Got tired of waiting for this to appear in the retail sector, so bought a C1 instead, which I have running @4.0GHz with 1.35v....

Cooler is a Tuniq Tower 120. It cooled a Q6600 (B3 stepping @3GHz) so it should be good for the Q9550.

I haven't stressed the CPU yet. I like to give the install time to settle
Temps are 19C at the moment
44C under full load on a short test run of about 3 minutes.

I probably won't try and take the CPU above 4Ghz anyway.

dee, what does it say ** core speed is 1999? shouldnt it be 3000...? or am i missing something..

and yeah, thats good 3 ppl with e0 stepping on recent orders!! woop:D

Most likely Speedstep is enabled.

I might have to get my order in if they are e0 steppings!

got mine last week...it was E0 stepping...Got it running at 3.4 no problems on water. Temps are 44-45-46-49 under full load...only problem i have is there are 3 stuck sensors that dont move untill a certain temp is achieved...so not sure what the idle temps are...the lowest is 32 so i suppose i have to say that the idle temps are 32...ish

I got 2 stuck-ish sensors on my Q9650, cores 2 and 3 will go to 34 and 35 lowest respectively and no lower, though had cores 0 and 1 down to 25c! Doesnt worry me one bit though - if it sticks at that i know its cooler and its only load temps that really matter!

I think i'm going to like this chip a lot.

Stage one of an overclock

400MHz FSB
3.4GHz

Core voltage 1.056V ;)
Running prime now. At full load, the highest core temp so far is 39C
