Hi,playing with a Q9550 and the the on die temp. sensors seem stuck at 36 and 40 degrees respectively when idle, but they do respond when under load.Anybody know if it will cause an issue with reporting load temps accurately (using CPUID Hardware Monitor) as I'm currently getting 53-56 degrees under Prime95 small ffts @4199 MHz with 1.368v under water.
Cheers.

I got the same problem too, my e6300 is stuck at 37/38 and running prime makes no difference. But IBT gets it to 52 degrees. I guess it means that the temp is correct, BUT only when above the 'stuck' temp

i have stuck core temps (not overal cpu) on my E8400 never go below 38c, but stuck idle sensors are no problems, and well idle temps are not that accurate anyways.

Aslong as they move when underload then all is well, and the load temp is far more accurate then idle temps anyways, so no need to worry.

I had stuck temps on my E8600, Spoke to Intel and they said the cpu would protect it's self in event and that I should talk to the software manufacturers.

Tj temp sensors are far mor accurate under stress thats why idle temps mean so little, set coretemp/realtemp to read distance from TJmax, this figure is far more important.

2 of my cores are stuck at 40 but do display higher when under load. Not a big problem and common by al accounts.
