QA CONSULTANTS DETERMINES MOST STABLE GRAPHICS DRIVER IN THE INDUSTRY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Date: July 16, 2018

Toronto, Ontario (July 16, 2018) – As independent third-party experts in the software quality assurance and testing industry for over 20 years, QA Consultants has conducted over 5,000+ mission-critical projects and has extensive testing experience and depth in various industries. Based in Toronto, Ontario, QA Consultants is the largest on-shore software quality assurance company, with a 30,000 sq. ft., industry-grade facility called The Test Factory™.

Commissioned by AMD, QA Consultants used Microsoft’s Windows Hardware Lab Kit (HLK) to conduct a 12-day head-to-head test comparing AMD and Nvidia graphics drivers. The test compared 12 GPU’s, six from AMD and six from NVIDIA, running on 12 identical machines. All machines were configured with Windows 10 April 2018 Update. Both gaming and professional GPUs were equally represented in the testing. After running for 12 days of 24-hour stress tests, the aggregate of AMD products passed 93% of the scheduled tests. The aggregate of NVIDIA products passed 82% of the scheduled tests.

Based on the results of testing the 12 GPUs, QA Consultants concludes that AMD has the most stable graphics driver in the industry. The detailed report can be found here.

What you guys think about this? For me AMD drivers over the past what is it now 4 years since the big change? Has gone from being second best in terms of features to performance to stability to beating the competition. I take Radeon Settings over Geforce any day.

Weird, my pc passes 100% of the tasks I set it to do :)

I can not remember the last time my pc crashed anything, infact I think since installing windows 8.1 3 years ago I have never had a crash on anything I do, I am sure the same can be said for most Amd users too.

Same here :D but this isn't a single test. That wouldn't be a fair comparison.

It makes perfect sense that AMD would go down this route. Still to this day people spew out that AMD drivers are poor compared to Nvidia yet we know this ain't true. They are arguably better but at least on par so anything they can do to improve the view point of the masses is worth spending some money on. Any how i reckon many reports could come out saying the AMD drivers are more stable but the majority would still keep on bashing the drivers because it's stuck for so long now.

Agreed! This very much, people are so stuck in the past history of AMD drivers that all they see if the bad and not the good what has happened over the years.
