Using Qbittorrent v 5.2.0. I have Network interface set to Nordlynx, but QB is still connecting to the internet when the VPN is disconnected? I have tested this by entering a single word in the search box and it brings back a list of hits. I have tweaked several settings in QB as advised by Grok to try and bind QB to the Nord VPN to no avail. I used IP Vanish for years with no issues, so perhaps some of the settings are still tailored to IP Vanish? Should I uninstall QB and start from scratch with the default settings?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Post a screenshot of your qBittorrent network interface config.

You can use this site to check for a torrent IP leak: https://ipleak.net/

I have also taken a look at the ipleak site, but I have no idea what I am looking for or how it relates to QBT.

The bind looks good.

As for ipleak.net, find this section:

Click on 'Activate' and you'll see the following:

Click on the magnet link and let it open in qBittorrent. After a few seconds ipleak.net will display the IP in use by qBittorrent. The IP should match your VPN's IP. ipleak.net shouldn't show an IP if your VPN is turned off.

OK did that. Full IP address shown including my ISP, region, Latitude Longitude etc. I then opened Nord and it was a totally different IP address. I had already uninstalled and reinstalled QBT, so it is ignoring the requirement to only use the NordLynx interface.

Cannot see how to do that. The only other options under "Optional Ip addresses to bind to" are All IPv4 addresses, or All IPv6 addresses.

Try a different client and see if it exhibits the same behaviour. All of the following support interface binding:
