I still find it entertaining when I catch the odd episode on Dave. Wouldn't go out of my way to see it though.

Dude, you need to get laid or something. Seriously. Or maybe try some illicit substances, something, anything...

If I get laid any more than I currently do it'd fall off.

It's an Entertainment show and as such the contents should not be taken as fact.

The whole show is centred on being pedantic. I think they do try and be correct as much as possible, but because of the nature of the obscure topics they talk about everything is very specialist and hard to get correct all the time. Doesn't stop me cringing though.

So surely you've just told yourself exactly why they may have got this one thing wrong? :p

while he would I'm sure respond to a correction if you sent it via twitter or similar, I find it a touch odd that people actually think it's his own knowledge that he spiels off. His researchers and more likely script writers got it wrong, maybe they just give him notes to talk around and he improvised/omitted incorrectly
This being said, he's still rather intelligent and knowledgeable.

LOL! Leave it to the people who do that for a day job please dear! :D

Stephen Fry is certainly the sort of person who would appreciate a correction. He's no technophobe, that's for sure. You're right that someone probably has, so it's difficult to judge whether he's getting bored of it already or would still welcome the comment. If in doubt, go for it.

As for his researchers, well yes, of course, and they have got it wrong before. He's more than capable of holding his own however, unlike many other presenters.

Lol, that youtube clip is pretty funny.

To iterate (as I never started in the first place), although I think QI is full of misinformation, I still think Stephen Fry is a very clever man.

Note: Clever does not always mean knowledgable, in his case, he has the core abilitity to quickly understand something new, that underpinned with a reasonable knowledge of a very large amount of subjects makes for somebody perfectly suited to make people feel comfortable watching him in the "teacher" role. Combined with his affable character and frankly fantastic voice, makes for a wonderful television presenter.

I like the fact that while watching his recent series, "last chance to see", he started out knowing little to nothing about what he was doing, a definate duck out of water, by the time we got to the 3rd episode you really get a sense he no longer feels or indeed looks out of place, yet he is entirely willing to say when he doesn't understand something.

I'm really glad he didn't kill himself and seems to have found a happy place, british TV is better for it.

Still think the OP should write to QI though! Why not, it was misinformation presented as fact on a semi-cerebral show, only way people can learn from their mistakes is if a) it bites them in the ass or b) someone points it out to them.

I didn't see the 'last chance to see' series first time around. I caught a repeat last night and I want to watch it all properly now.
