Just got myself a Qnap Ts-251A and put 2x 6gb Western Digital Reds in it. I've been through the setup and have it set as single static volume, RAID1. The storage manager is reporting that there is 16.41GB used and I haven't put anything on it yet.
I am just wondering if this is normal, the apps i have installed seem to only amount to just under 200mb. Is it a swap file maybe? Or does the OS get put on the HDD during setup? I just want to be sure it's normal before i start filling it up, otherwise I can format and start again. It took about 12hours for the RAID to sync...
