i was thinkin of K90 but i wont use all the buttons and also dont wanna spend as much. goin to go with the MK-50

I'm looking for a backlit model. I'll have a closer look at the MK-80 and a proper read of the mechanical keyboard thread in PC Games when I'm back on the computer later.

Basically the MK-80 has blue switches and the MK-85 has red switches - but you can get them with whatever switches you want directly from Qpad.

Reds are best for gaming

Black are best for gaming and typing

I use a black for work and reds for home

Work keyboard is ozone strike and at home I used an mk-85

Blue = clicky with a particular spring weight.
Brown = bumpy with a particular spring weight.
Black = no click or bump with a particular spring weight.
Red = no click or bump with a lighter spring weight than the blacks.

There are also buckling spring switches which the old IBM keyboards used and there are ALPs switches which were used on old Apple keyboards.

Nice one. Just read the last 10 pages of the thread in PC Games. It took forever as I kept going off and looking at individual things.

With a mechanical? I probably would say so. I've not owned one before, but from the impression I have got since researching them, I guess you would get a much better experience.

For gaming the biggest difference would be the step from wireless to wired - if you're talking about headshotting him before he headshots you that is.

will do i was lookin at the mk-80 but didnt want to pay more for extra i dont rly need. and got the mk-50 for a good price

yh would be got to have back lighting. but hopin to make up a new desk sometime and want to put some faint lights to light up keyboard and also i dont rly need backlighting.

just need to upgrade mouse now
going from -
logitech wireless k340 and logitech wireless mouse (which im keepin for laptop)
to the mk-50 and thinkin of the G500 mouse
