Going to have to research what the difference is in the switches too. I'm completely new to the mechanical world!
Blue = clicky with a particular spring weight.
Brown = bumpy with a particular spring weight.
Black = no click or bump with a particular spring weight.
Red = no click or bump with a lighter spring weight than the blacks.
There are also buckling spring switches which the old IBM keyboards used and there are ALPs switches which were used on old Apple keyboards.
Don't expect immediate 'ownage' though, takes a while to get used to the feel coming from years of membrane keyboards.
Nice! Let us know how you get on. I'm leaning heavily towards the MK-80 now.
For me its just a bugger that the MK-50 doesn't have a backlight.
