Could someone tell me if you can use the software on the MK-85 so when you press a key down, it holds it down till pressed again? i.e. toggle on and then off?

The reason is I'm disabled and looking for a new keyboard.

I can not use my fingers ( i'm a C5 tetraplegic ) but use my knuckle on the little finger to type and play games. COD, etc

Some games that don't have toggle on such keys as, run, walk etc. I try and use the sticky key feature of windows, but this doesn't alway work.

Playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood at the minute. I've played the first 2, but this one needed a lot of using different fighting moves to kill people.

So i need a keyboard that I can programe keys to be pressed and then act as if i was still pressing them, ie toggle on/off.

Anyone who could advise me on this keyboard, or a keyboard like this would be good.

Thanks very much.

All right, so I received the keyboard mid-week, and had a chance to look at the macro software, which is pretty powerful.

So indeed you can 'stickify' some keys. For example, assign a macro to 'W', to do 'W press' + 'W release'. Which is pretty much what pressing 'W' does anyway :) But you can repeat the sequence until another key is pressed.

But what you want is to repeat until the same key is pressed to do the 'sticky' feature of windows. Maybe something you can query with QPad, which I would assume would be a fairly simple addition to the software.

BTW, It's not a real sticky, in the sense that it continually presses the key on and off. It's like mashing the button really fast.

This theoretically can be done via the macro tool though. Say the macro is only "W press", deleting the "W release" part (which you can do). And the the 'repeat until same key is pressed' extra option available. I tried that, and it actually work :) It just needs to cancel the macro when the same key is pressed, instead of 'any key'.

As for the keyboard, it's really nice. Sturdy, on the noisy side (like all mechanicals), but a nice quality piece of kit. The Brown keys are rather light. Black or Blue would have more heft to them.
