Hi i have a triple boot windows xp - windows vista - windows beta 7 : and i would like to have a linux install also is this possible or will linux destroy the boot sequence ?

yes. entirely possible - however, you will use GRUB instead of whatever the windows bootloader is.

I assume you will probably have to doa a small spot of manual configuration to get it set up, as I don't dual or multi-boot myslef (apart from my usb pen.... which has nine OSes on it!)

the linux install should just sort it all for you.

Yep, the GRUB bootloader should see all the other installations and give you the option to boot any of 'em.

Grub will do a much better job of seeing all the OSes than Microsoft's boot loader will
