Quad Core CPU query

Hi guys,

I'm trying to decide what CPU to get and I'd like to go quad.
However I've seen both of these :

I can see a £150 difference between the two, and all I can see to differentiate the two is the Q6600 has a 9 multi and is energy efficient, and the 6700 has a 10 multi.

Is there anything else to differntiate the two? and why do i read people recommending the 6600 over the 6700?

Well the £150 difference is the reason why people are recommending the Q6600. And other than the extra multiplier they are the same CPU.

Unless you've got money to burn you'd be wise to get the Q6600.

interesting, im also on the lookout for a quad-core i notice on your choises, very pricey and high cache, but i noticed that they had 1066 FSB, wen i looked i was thinking that 1333 FSB would b a massive advantage over the 1066, so my question: is cache just as important? or am i at least half right in choising high FSB :)
 
The high fsb isn't really that advantageous, clock speed is also more important then cache. But it will help more then fsb. xD If that makes sense...
 
so im looking for clock speed then :D ill still get the 1333 as its only £1 more then the 1066.... or is it not even worth the £1 lol :D
 
Nope.

And especially nope when you can up the 2.33ghz to 2.66ghz in your BIOS with no effort at all ;)
