Quad SLI - Any benchmarks?

Just wondering if all that cash would be well spent on one of these quad SLI rigs.

So any chance of some benchies Gibbo? :cool:

Doubt their will be much increase to be honest, even an FX60 will probably bottleneck.

Absolute waste of money, bottlenecked to the hilt, will need something like a FX5000 quadruple core.

You can buy yourself a decent car or something for that.

and ofcourse by the time games can use the power they will put out there will be a million new shader types and other features the games will need.

Would be of use if you had a 30" Dell screen and were running at it's native screen resolution (assuming the cards can run that high).

They do, i saw a benchmark earlier ona site. cant remember what but it had 7k in 05 at 2550x 1200 or something silly lol

I know the FX60 would bottleneck, but if youre running at 2500 resolution or whatever with 32xAA, then that will totally dismiss the CPU bottleneck and would perform as well as if it did have an AMD FX 1,000 Oct-O-Core CPU

I would rather wait for a DX10 card and run two in sli for the same performance and a lot less money.

Cute concept pity its for tools with too much money to spare and of course bragging rights. I await double-quadsli, for the headcase that just HAS to get that extra 1000 points in dongmark 2k8. :rolleyes:

There won't be enough PCI slots for a soundcard with the PhysX card in there.

Quad SLI = 2 x double card(2 gpus on one card).

yeah there is 2 PCI slots on the Abit AN8-32X mobo

edit - only 1 or the other could go in it, seen as the GX2 is dual slot

I really hope the next generation of motherboards have a better layout so we don't keep loosing slots to large video cards

I don't there's much they can do with ATX pc cases only having 7 slots...and with trying to mix in some of the new PCI express x1 slots with some of the old normal PCI slots as well..
