Dunno about loads but Quakeworld is popular. Also at the last Quakecon the guys had to play finals on all 4 quakes! Quadv got vids I think![]()

wether or not the system searches for servers for you aswell i dont know, but steam have been advertising and selling Quake... so id say pretty much that it does.![]()
ok I need to know were i can get all the files to play quakeworld, I've my original quake disks here (working) so if anyone has the other files I'll love em long time
^A word of warning about the above: Gamespy is an incredibly bad server browser for QW nowadays because it is dependent on old, outdated QW master servers. Probably at least 80% of active QW servers won't show up in Gamespy.
Sure, in it's day Quakespy was the best option, but All Seeing Eye (created by a couple of QW players / proxy coders, Zibbo and Perkele) is light years ahead of Gamespy as far as QW is concerned.
Just install nQuake and drop your .pak files from Quake into the /id1 subdir:
