Just dl the demo off steam and it said that my graphics card is either old or my drivers for it. My graphics card is the x1900xtx and im running the 7.6 catalyst drivers.
 
Yeah older drivers <= 7.8 have a feature (well feature missing really) that can be misused as a wallhack in the game by unscrupilous players...
 
I've got a ET:QW question.

According to FRAPS my FPS stay in between 45-55 (occasional 35 dip)...everything is on max with 16x AA and 16x af but it seems as if its choppy.

Will the retail version be like this?
 
It was like that for me in the betas but less so in the demo, it was still fairly bad, especially in vehicles, i don't hold much hope for the retail version being any better, BF2 is ten times smoother.

a shame because the graphics are quite good.
 
sorry its a different error this is what it says:

ERROR: The current video card / driver combination does not support the necessary features: GL_ARB_occlusion_query

According to fraps my fps are capped at 30fps. I have found the following however:

That is a guide from the devs about how to 'tune' the game to suit you.

Also I am running Omega Cat 7.4's and I have not noticed any issues with the game. (X1900XT here gaming at 1680x1050 2xAA everything max in game)
 
I have just installed the cat 7.9s and I am having all manner of performance issues.

(again this is as my post above X1900XT etc) I havn't changed any settings just the drivers.

I also get the texture flickering Dan, its not that pronounced but its noticable.
