quake wars - minimum spec

That's a little disappointing - but BF 2142 is pretty much the same and that rocks

Wash your mouth out ! ET:QW will be very different to the battlefield series, in gameplay/mode and quality.

Put it this way...from that spec a conroe and 8800 system will eat it no probs!Good developer...and its being designed for PC only...so performance should be good...if not excellent.

Maybe not long now...last thing I read it was to be released on June 7th! Cana wait for this one...hope its as good or beter than 2142.:D
nope the 360 and ps3 jumped onboard

for one, et:qw only has 24 player servers, which should be increased to 40 at least, but they said they have designed these maps especially for 24 players to make it feel like theres much more.

couldnt of looked tbh all i done was type in google quake wars requirements and found this :)

Minimum System Requirements
Operating System: Windows 98/2000/ME/XP
Processor: Pentium PIII 800 MHz Processor or AMD Athlon
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 2™ or ATI Radeon™ 7000 or higher
CD-ROM: 4X or Faster
RAM: 256 MB RAM

That article was posted back in 2005, and aren't even official ones by their own admission. I'd be utterly amazed if the real specs end up as a gf2 with 256meg RAM - especially if it's using the D3 engine.

Yeah, especially considering that XP will eat up most of that 256MB anyhow. I'm guessing that it'll be like the majority of modern games, 2GB will be the sweet spot again.

Im interested about your reasoning for that one. Even watching a 5v5 the action was pretty intense and stuff was always happening.

Said before.... Multiplayer only, bots later maybe.
But who the hell wants to play bots anyways

Couldn't have said it better myself lol :P

If you wanna play deathmatch against bots go out and buy Unreal Tournament 2004.

How good is this game going to be? I haven't seen that many threads about it. Everyone is going on and on about Crysis and DX10 etc etc. Is this one of those games thats slips under the radar and becomes a massive hit? Is john carmack/id involved in development or is it a separate team thats using the D3 engine?
