No, he was wrong. :)

Quake Wars is a very deep game, if you have the attention span of a shrew, of course you wont like it, but it dosent make it a bad game. Its a very rewarding game on pc, the people that play it have taken some time to suss it out, and as such, it has less idiots playing it than other similar online shooters.

How it would fare on the 360 is another matter, i can only imagine it has been dumbed down somewhat, which would be a shame, albeit understandable.
 
Quake Wars is great,

Sure the graphics arent anywhere near like CoD and the game could do with guns that were a little more accurate, but that is the entire point of Quake.
It is pure spray weapons and manic circle strafe.

I think they got it just right and it plays well as an arcade shooter. Its only flaw was the release time where it got dumped on by a much better designed shooter.

Still it is a good game and the combat offers what a lot of FPS games dont and that is REAL team work and objective based missions and I personally think that it is one of the best games for guiding players to actually play together!

Great game, ignore the haters and try it!
 
ET:QW was amazing on the PC, but that's where it should stay, consoles just can't do a game like this justice. Same goes for Battlefail, which at least with 2142, ET:QW is much better.

Keep telling yourself that, so that you will feel better about spending all that cash on your PC
