Quantity over quality and vice versa

Buy cheap buy twice.

Buy a good quality item over 2 inferior products.

As mentioned same can be said for hookers. Not that id partake in such activities :D
 
Better quality where possible but also within reason.

IE, I don't use the speakers on the TV because it sounds crap and I want 5.1. But I only have a Sony AV Amp and 5.1 surround. I don't have the ears to need to spend thousands on some obscure make that audiophiles will tell you is better than a crusty roll with some soup.

Our home appliances are either Miele, Siemens, Bosch, my drills are both Bosch Blue, my mouse is Logitech. It would never cross my mind to go and buy some POS device for cheap but that doesn't mean I blindly go and drop money on the thing with the biggest price tag. The internet helps me research whatever it is I'm buying as much as I can.
