What does dieing of old age mean? What organ fails first ect?

I always saw it as a blanket term to cover the body becoming too weak to recover from inconveniences and you got weak over a long period of time with no one major cause. With a side note that it's a bad coin toss to attempt any surgery so when any organ finally packs it in that's you done.

"Old age" is only usually given as the sole cause of death in very limited circumstances.
This would be where the certifying doctor has personally cared for someone over a long period; where a gradual decline has been observed and where a doctor is not aware of any identifiable disease or injury contributing to a death.

Exactly my grandfather technically died of bowl cancer but he was 93 years old when he got it and he was run over by a moped only a couple of years earlier which we think caused the onset as his body was completely broken as a result. Regardless we consider him dying of old age as he would have most likely survived both if he was younger.

Remember Scotland do things differently to England. Is it normal for Scottish death certificates to list the time of death? Unless its only done for the Queen. Could someone living in Scotland or have family living there please tell us if there's any difference to England v Scotland death certs.

Please tell me Prince Charles is not now joining the twitter-sphere -
BBC made a point to say that Prince William made comments about the need for digital harms protection for the tragic suicide case (taking on his fathers political role?), and then, said Prince Charles tweeted (ironically on social media) about it; monarchy shouldn't be dirtying their hands their , like politicians do.

What happened during covid with Zoom (and the queen adopting it) ... the supposed benefits (to uk productivity) of working from home are past history

we're drilling , we're drilling ... and I hope you like fracking too.

Prince Charles can't go the ball because his green views might be incompatible with dear Lizzy

I admit to missing all the Royal coverage we had on our screens last month. So I decided to watch the Queen's coronation from 1953. I spotted a woman who was behind the Queen, wearing a diadem, with her own train and page boy. But I have no idea who she is. Can anyone enlighten me? I'm guessing she's Chief Lady in Waiting (or whatever her correct title would be) rather than some unknown royal figure.

Thanks! Mistress of the Robes. That's a new one on me; it sounds like something made up! I'll be discovering Mistress of the Water Closet or something next.

I guess she's wearing all that finery with her being a Duchess.

Will be interesting to see what happens with Charles' coronation. I don't think it will be anywhere near extravagant which is a bit of a shame.

Her eldest son married Kathleen Kennedy, sister to JFK. He was killed in action 4 months after the wedding. Kathleen herself was killed in a plane crash 4 years later. Part of the Kennedy curse

surely the royal family has some legal rights to stop this
character defamation, or, are netflix doing it with the hope of publicity from some legal reprisal,
maybe government can just pass a law banning netflix.

Claims in the TV drama The Crown that King Charles secretly plotted to oust the Queen have been described as “malicious nonsense” by Sir John Major.
The Netflix drama shows the then Prince of Wales lobbying the prime minister to try to force his mother’s abdication. Major’s office dismissed the claims yesterday and insisted he had not co-operated with the makers of the drama or checked the script.
Netflix has rejected demands from supporters of the royal family to include a disclaimer on the series making clear that it is not a factual record of events.
