Hey there, has anyone got any tips on queiting down my HDDs please? Im using shutdown HDDs after 1 min in power profile, but my computer is virtually passively cooling unless im gaming, and when im watching TV all i can hear in the HDDs firing up and shutting down again, could do with Disabling them untill i need them but requires a windows restart to do so. I'll proberbly just get rid and get another larger SDD when i have some more money but ill take any tips if anyone has any so i can watch tv or browse in peace. :)

Cheers.

theyre 10'000 RPM WD raptors, they've always been loud unforunately, but ive never had a PC this quiet before so not really bothered me.

if you want silent hdd's then you need to grab some samsung f3 or f4's,the f4's are rare now though, seagates tend to be noisy

for the time being you can adjust the power down/power saving in windows power saving profile/advanced/hdd
