Oh you're absolutely right, I don't believe they're needed either, but if we get a summer like we had in the past, I'd like to keep the temps reasonable, and these fans are gonna be running SLOW as well to keep the noise down.
Its just nice to get one of me old cases back. The antec SLK3000B performed really well, but it looked like "Robbie the robot" from that film "Forbidden planet, lol. Even the wife says the atcs 200 looks prettier, so theres a result straight away.

I've done that in my 201 as well, makes for a much tidier case as well

Since i have had to move my case into the living room the temps have gone up to approx 40 idle and around 58 max. I may look to adding 1 fan in the case to help cool things a bit more even though i am happy with the temps.
 
Your still within the thermal limits of all modern hardware.

So all is good, if its stable, there is not a problem :)
