Query

I am trying to take an image of a 3GB hard drive with Windows XP Home Edition with SP1. I am using Paragon Drive Backup 30 Day Trial. I have tried using Acronis True Image 10 but I haven't got enough space for the software on the drive (hence the need to image). I would like to image the slaved hard drive, but haven't got enough room for the image on the current drive, and don't have a big enough USB Memory Stick or Caddy.

Is it possible to unplug the CD Drive and plug the Hard Drive onto the CD Drive's Cable??

Should be no problem at all as long as you get the Master/Slave jumper correct (or leave it on Auto if that's an option)
