Quest as monitor via HDMI cable. It doesn't require any software on PC. Works even in BIOS!

i see good potential as a repalcement for AR glasses given the next mixed reality mode update in quest 3.

Yeah, he goes into even more detail about the APKs and other software in the comments. Sidequest and the Android SDK Platform-Tools are easy enough to use to get APK files onto the headset.

just needs an app in app store really. its the only thing putting me off, plus the shown app vendor

it was due to happen some time. but this does make for a gret use case for the drone racers

i highly doubt meta will go back to DP or HDMI now.... best bet will be them supporting usb 4.0 and them selling an active 5m quest approved cable for it imo. (passive wont have the length)
