Quest for lost hard drive with £4m stored bitcoins

It says they are worth 4million but how easy would it be to actually sell 7,500 of them for £4 million pounds?

I cant believe they are now worth £613 each. Ludicrous.

The Chinese started buying them and caused a huge price hike.

Yeah this is BS imo - isn't the cheapest Bitcoins have ever been $10? That guy doesn't look like he'd have $75k let alone risk that amount. I reckon the BBC know it's BS too - they just wanted a story about Bitcoins.

The cheapest was about 8 cents.

It was ridiculously easy to mine back then, and rewards for mining were much higher. It's very possible to mine this much on a laptop.

After being a couple of years in a skip, exposed to the elements with more rubbish being poured on top? I would be impressed. :p

Bitcoins initially were only worth a few cents each.
7500 in the first few weeks would have been worth maybe £10 or £15 tops. Maybe even less.
