Question about Bridges......

So, I got my new machine at the beginning of the week on Tuesday, all well. Got the two graphics cards bridged. However, I've had one or two little issues with games and with Crossfire enabled, and then I noticed that both my cards only came with one bridge connector.

After searching fruitlessly through both GFX card boxes, I still only found one.

Shouldn't there of been two connectors? one in each card box?

I'm running a bridged pair of ATI Radeon HD 6950 cards.

Thanks

You only need one bridge.

Adding a second will do nothing.

If you're having issues with Crossfire make sure you have the latest drivers and ATI Catalyst Application Profiles.

Ah right fair enough. If one bridge will do the job, then perhaps that explains why there was only one bridge out of the set ahah :)

unless there wasnt one in either box, and it was in fact from the mobo box?

Which is doubtful.

Crossfire bridges are generally supplied with graphics cards and not motherboards.

Even if there was one with the motherboard that should mean the OP should have 3.

Every Crossfire capable ATI card I've bought has had a Crossfire bridge in the box.

meh, on Nvidia cards until these 480s I;ve bought they have never been supplied with an SLI bridge, and the mobo always has them (sli and tri sli bridges). Maybe its only the good (as in ASUS's top boards) mobos that come with them :P
