Question about emulation performance.

When running an emulator on windows is the cpu or gpu more important for framerate?

I would've thought that but as it's a game being played on the emulator I also thought that the gpu may also have some impact, even though it's only a low spec game. Then again maybe not.

Guess I'll have to upgrade the cpu sometime then I only get about 30fps and the game requires 59.952 to run properly, luckily the emulator is fully optimised for dual core.

How well does the X2 4200 overclock? Do the cpus require ddr2 memory?

This is the only emulator of it's kind (pcsx2) so there aren't any others I could use and I already have max performance settings enabled.
