Question about emulation performance.

I would've thought that but as it's a game being played on the emulator I also thought that the gpu may also have some impact, even though it's only a low spec game. Then again maybe not.
 
Guess I'll have to upgrade the cpu sometime then I only get about 30fps and the game requires 59.952 to run properly, luckily the emulator is fully optimised for dual core.

How well does the X2 4200 overclock? Do the cpus require ddr2 memory?

No 939 systems take DDR. They moved to AM2 just to support DDR2.

Check through your emu's configuration settings and see if there's an option for hardware accelerated rendering. If there isn't have a visit with the Googles and see if there is one available that does.

I reckon a 3500 would be able to handle most anything.
 
This is the only emulator of it's kind (pcsx2) so there aren't any others I could use and I already have max performance settings enabled. :(
