question about microsoft qualifications

Cool... i'm MCSE+SEC+MSG so i guess very rare :):p

At the very most you will be part of 9,719 (as those are the ones with messaging). I'd suggest you're probably one of 5,000. It's something I'm looking into doing later this year. The MCSE took a lot out of me earlier in the year. The place I now work wanted me to complete that in my probabtionary period so it was a lof of studying in a short space of time coupled with the fact that I couldn't take the risk of failing an exam.

All good fun though.

Approximately 4 months. Though it was hard work mate. I did have the MCDST before that though it was one less to the MCSA it was actually one more to the MCSE (so I had to do all 7 exams in the end - though this was then one less to the MCSE+S - so it all worked itself out in the end).

I would say it was bloody hard work. All of my spare time both in and out of work was used for this. Work were quite good as they gave me a day of here and there to study and prepare for the exam.

Hmm, definitely not for me at the moment then, though if I get a job I've applied for the employer might consider allowing me some time to work on it during the day. Hell they might even pay for it.

Yeah took about 4 months for me, has a deal with my previous company in that i would stay for a couple of months past my notice period and in return they would pay for all my exams :). I had been working a lot with the syllabus techs so tbh the study wasn't too hard.

Must admit it did get easier the more I did. There is a lot of crossover and there is also a time when you get into the Microsoft mindset by knowing automatically what they require without trying to find out and re-read every tedious question.

Company have paid for all of my exams as well which was great including the travel to get there (closest test centre was Birmingham).
