Why is it, if you're born in China, you look Chinese, with the wide eyes?
Why is it, if you're born in India you've got black hair and brown skin?
Why is it if you're born in England you're (generally) white in colour?
Why is it if you're born abroad you have an accent, infact, anywhere, you've got an accent?

Very confusing seeing as we all live on one world :)

I heard that the reason that Chinese people have eyes that are quite narrow is because of the sun and people were always squinting and so over time, they adapted?

/shrugs.

:o

So if we all lived like the Indians with warm shining sun and exact same living conditions we'd all have black hair and darker skin?

It won't just happen over night mind you but i'd say it's possible over a long period of time?

So like if we all had Nigerian sun we'd all be scammers? ;)

I blame El for that one, but the rest can be attributed to living conditions and cultures. Of course it doesn't happen instantly, think tens of thousands of years or more.

Tower of Babel - somewhere in the Bible, God did it because He was angry.

Well that was childish of him  :D

Was very childish to try and build a tower to heaven, that's the sort of thing I would have tried to do with Duplo.

I don't know, lego tends to be tougher although maybe a little on the small side?

(on a side note, how the hell did we get from races and ethinicity to lego in 13 posts?)

I do.

Do you?

Well he had the power to make people speak different languages and look differently, although made them suitable to their environment, showing underlying mercy, He could pretty much kill me now if He wanted...

It's evolution. Have a read up on the 'Out Of Africa Theory' with regards to proto-humans and our evolution into humans.

Just moving to India and pro creating with someone who is of your similar race wouldn't in any number of generations mean you would necessarily evolve to look Indian. It would take a few hundred/thousand years for that to happen. Now if you had children with an Indian person then of course the effects would be noticeable, but they would have nothing to do with the environment, it would merely be simple genetics... now read up on Mendels Law.
