Hi guys, i was just thinking (because of the weather) about the effects of a good w/c loop on your system and the temperature in the room

At first i thought lower cpu temp = lower room temp

But, am i wrong. Thinking about it again surely the cpus heat is just being transferred away better and removed from the pc. would that in turn make the room hotter

Kind regards

Nope

Yes - Energy will not disappear nor created in situation like this.

So the heat removed will be dissipated into the room.

Thank you :) Interesting to know may need to ghetto rig a air con

In the UK, this is unlikely to be in need if you have sufficient airflow.

Generally, keeping ambient temperature at around 25-30C will be cool enough to cool a PC.

That is a totally different story if you are living nearer to the equator where the ambient temperature is nearer to mid-30 to 40 in hot summer.

Bigger the better and design does help as well for the type of fan you use low rpm or high rpm for cooling which effects noise level.

I'm using 1x560 rad[620 x 145 x 60mm] with low 900 rpm fans, atm room temp 21'c hottest core 23'c, when gaming core temps mid forties 4820k:4.6GHz + SLI 670 no higher than 40'c.

If its hot room air flow does effect temps as well, my PC is in the living room in a alcove we get the sun until about 6.00.

Seen room temp hit 26'c but having a portable room fan blowing towards my PC actually reduces temps 1 or 2'c with widows and doors open.

No need for a ghetto air con if the loop spec is done right.

i have my rad hanging out of the window and now all the heat is contributing to global warming, bad me lol , once winter comes back it can blow the hot air back in
