Question about the 50 cal

no, it should be AWM because it fires a magnum round, hence arctic warefare magnum.

As for the police and the CS version, the AWP is black, not olive, and its shorter then then the other AW rifles.

Thought the magnum version was called the AWSM (super magnum) ?

Been too long since I've had a god browse on world.guns.ru

err, no.

the AI AWP (aka L96)(aka AI AW) is a 7.62x51mm rifle
the AI AWM fires the .338 Lapua Magnum Cartidge

obviously, all of these rifles are available in alternate calibres, but these two are the most popular by far.

AWP =artic warfare police, not the military AW, which is not the same model as the l96, it's an improved version.

the black short one is a less well built version called the AW AE

The super magnum is the .338 lapua magnum, the AWM is 7mm remington or .300 remington magnum.

the AWP is black and short, the less well built one (AW AE) is for non-military use, which is similar to the AWP (black and short) but not designed to cope with the sort of things that military rifles go through. Both weapons are used by law enforcement, but the AWP is also used by special forces and such in urban environments where they need a black weapon thats not so long that it because hard to handle inside buildings.
