Question For London Theathre Goers

Do you want theatre or musical?

The Globe on the South Bank (near the Tate Modern) puts on some fantastic performances of Shakespeare's plays every day. Tickets are cheap too.

Hey,

I go to the theatre a fair bit. Here's what you should do

1. Google
Google theatre tickets, you will often find "Two top price tickets for the price of one". Tickets will cost £50-60 for TWO. You should be able to get a wide variety of shows.

Such as: http://www.discounttheatre.com/default.aspx?pageid=11
and
http://www.officiallondontheatre.co.uk/buy_tickets/special_offers/

2. Lastminute.com
Have a check there, often similar offers to as above.

3. On the day
Go to TKTS it's based in Leicester Sq and is the cheapest one with the largest variety of tickets. But you'll need to get there reasonably early, sometimes there is a large queue.

To find out what they are selling see this.

As for Comedy Store (be very careful of rubbish imitations), it's £15-17.50 a ticket. It usually sells out a week before, but occassionaly just a couple of days before, and is excellent.

Hope that helps

^ thanks I'll check them out. I went to Comedy Store about 10 years ago. It was very good had decent acts, but from what I recall (rightly or not) finished too late to get back to my mothers.

I've never seen it, so don't know how good it is, but I'm pretty sure lastminute were doing tickets for 'The Woman in Black' for about £11 or something similar a few weeks ago...

Go up on the day and find small stands offering tickets - usually go for somewhere between £20-30 and for good seats (stalls, circle).
Blood Brothers is supposed to be good, I'm yet to see it though.

Seen both them around here, both very good.

I can't stand the plagiarist bard I really just don't get him. Not that I am fond of his rivals either.
