Question for the racing sim fans

I am the lucky recipient of a single seater racing day at Thruxton.
I thought it might be fun (although probably not terribly useful), to have a virtual drive around before I go.

So the question is can you recommend a game old or new that has a pretty fair representation of Thruxton? And if it's a good game that would be cool as well :)

Thanks in advance.

PS I do have an aging but functional Logitech force feedback wheel and pedals.

Excellent, thanks for the recommendation - it looks really good.
Is there much of a learning curve? The only similar thing I've tried was Grand Prix Legends back in the day, which I remember being particularly carp at...

Its got a learning curve but nothing too hard.
There are lower difficulty settings that make it easier to drive (although they seriously hinder performance when you get the hang of driving properly - imo)

Theres also a range of cars, believe it or not a lotus cortina is a damn sight easier to drive than a 170mph Pantera GT :D
(although I am a Vette person myself when racing)

I always wanted to drive a Lotus Cortina!

That sounds ideal, don't mind the difficulty ramping up but I do like to be eased in;)
Thanks for all the replys guys I'll go off and do some froogling :)

Thruxton is available for Rfactor.
Top game and the best sim out there. Online purchase/download its open source so the modding community is Massive.
If driving is your thing then Rfactor is a must have. You will need to dig out your wheel as it's a Sim and rest assured the track will be a true representation or as near as damn it.
If you decide to get Rfactor let me know and i will hook you up with all the relevent sites etc for the mods tracks. If you try the demo don't read to much into it as it was well early and RF has moved on to be number one since those days.
I am highly active in the sim world and RF out of all is the closest you will get to the real thing. I own GTL,GTR,LFSS2,RBR and Rfactor. Rfactor is the closest to the real thing and the F3's around Thruxton would suit your needs perfectly.
