Question for those who own a 360 and PS3

Incidently on gamespot with last gen consoles they use to have a small note in the review of a game which version was the best out of PS2/Xbox/Gamecube. Are they still doing that because I can't se it anymore?

Some sites mention it, unfortunately it's only sites like Kotaku that mention which version has more problems than the other regular.

I believe only DiRT runs better on PS3 of the ports, but few are to the shocking standard GRAW2 and The Darkness.

When you'r buying a game that is released out on both systems which system do you buy it for the 360 or the PS3?

The 360 version normally.

Reasons:

- Controller - I prefer it for every genre.

- Graphics/Performance - To date the 360 has been the lead platform and will probably remain so, and thus games look/perform better on it.

- Xbox Live - Self explanatory really, even single player games i like being connected to live just so i've got access to friends lists and know whats going on.

- Friends - All/Most of my mates have 360's and so it makes sense for anything multiplayer oriented to get the 360 version.

There you go.

Depends if it's a game that I'll play online, if so then the 360, otherwise it has to be on the PS3.. The DVD Spin noise on the 360 drives me up the wall.

So far I've ended up simply not buying multi platform games :D :P

I seem to be doing this as well. Buying exlcusives on both platform and very little in the way of multiplatform games. No real rhyme or reason why, other than not having as much time to play games as a lot of the people who post here, so limiting myslef intentionally.

(Not saying exclusives are better quality than multiplatform games).

Last multi platform game I bought was PES2008. Nuff said :D

Not a big fan of multi-platform games myself either, only the odd few stand out (The Darkness or CoD4 for example)

The majority are poor, especially anything with the letters E and A on it :)

Xbox360 unless it has been confirmed on reviews that the PS3 version is better. Mainly due to Xbox Live.

All down to reviews, there seems to be very little difference between PS3 and 360 versions of games in most reviews so far, but i do prefer FPS'ers using the 360 pad :)

Depends really on the type of game. If its one I will have a blast on for 30 minutes or so either offline or online then I will look at getting it on the 360.

However if its a game I will be looking at playing a few hours on at a time then I will get it on the PS3 simply because my 360 seems to like random crashes at the most annoying times (RB6:V just before the save point arghhhhh.....)
