I'm not gay, but I don't have any problem whatsoever with gay people. I dislike straight people who constantly make homophobic statements as much as I dislike gay people who constantly feel the need to tell me how oppressed they are.

Good question, it depends of where you are. In zurich and Geneva I ve already seen two men walking hand in hand, here in southern switzerland very difficult to see this and in the pub of the village ( for example my village have 600 inhabitants ) they know who is gay and sometimes jokes about it. So here rather conservative. I know that in lugano the biggest city in southern switzerland ( 50000 inhabitants ) have only a gay sauna but with two entrance, the entrance in front of the street is used only from tourists and the entrance of the backside often used by locals.
