Bought a Cooler for my 3930k, but it was damaged so it needs to be returned. Would it be fine running my CPU on the stock heat sink, or would I need to use Cooler. It won't be Overclocked just running on stock speeds.

Oh no it won't.
The 3930K does not come with a heatsink.

i thought that too, so i would be very wary of what cooler/heatsink you put on, unless you know for sure it is designed to fit the cpu.

I got a retail version that came with a small heatsink (apparently).

The Orignal CPU Cooler I got had a bolt that was badlly threaded, so when I screwed it in, the springs shot back into my face... So it is going back and I have ordered a new one.

But...

No the 39X chips do not come with a cooler
None of my 3930's or 3820's did.
It is a very small box, no cooler inside.

You really need a decent cooler with the 3930K
I recommend the D14 lga 2011 special

I did buy one but the threading on one of the screws was gone so had to send it back and order a new cooler. New cooler won't be here till tomorrow, when you just spend £2000 on a rig waiting is a hard lol.
