Question on 3930k

Do you have any other decent heatsinks ?
If you have one that has 1366 spacing for the mounting, you can buy some m5 bolts and use that.

I have used Zalmans and Titans with socket 2011 by screwing them down with m5 bolts from the pound shop.
 
Stop trolling lol, no one on this forum would run a CPU without a heatsink. To be fair I have done it once on my Q6600 when I forgot to put my heatsink on during building it to see if it would power up. I then burnt my hand on the IHS. :D

Luckily the thermal protection kicks in almost instantly, it felt about 90C.

I don't think it "crashes" I think it gets to about 110C and it turns itself off. :p
 
They turn off at 125c.
Without a heatsink the temps will rise extremely quickly and it is a big ASK for the thermal protection to react quickly enough.
