Hi I have started to go gym again and I have a strang problem when it comes to my bicep workout, I am doing back then biceps in the same session and I know back uses quite a lot of the biceps in most of the excercises. My problem is when it comes to biceps either isolation normal excercises I can be curling fine for say 7 reps then come the 8th I will lift about a quarter of the way and then nothing my arms drop, no matter how hard I try they either won't move or just go weak and drop, no burn or pain at all just nothing.

I don't remember this happening while I had been training before, is it just that I'm taking it out of my biceps too much doing back??? It has happens two weeks in a row now and I'm wondering if any of you knowlegable folk could shed some light on this, hopefuly i'm just worrying for no reason and should just man up lol

Thank you for any help :)

It's called failure. It means that you've effectively worked the muscle enough. Make sure you refuel right (protein, rest and vit C mainly) and you'll be good to go.

It probably is exactly as you've assumed in that you're working the muscle in other exercises. Remember, when you exercise you're effectively damaging your muscles and muscles repair when you rest and this is how they grow. If your arm gives out, as I've said: you've done enough for that session. It's perfectly normal.

Thanks :) that's good to hear, I wasn't sure if I had been doing something wrong as I don't remember this happening before, tho that might be down to a diffrent routine I can't remember.
