Question on my hard drive.

I have have now completed my build and waiting for 2 items to arrive.

I got my hard drive from b grade.

After i bought it read some reviews that the hard drive has issues and that its not a good hard drive can someone clarify this for me please?

I am a gamer is this hard drive up to the task?

Hard drive i am talking about is in my sig.
 
Seagate is a quality make, with a 10 year warranty, and the .11 is one of their newer series of drives so I wouldn't say you have any real cause for concern...

What issues do the reviews say they have? And when were they written?
 
I think the reviews were old something about them needed a firmware update because they have issues.

Problem with me is i read something and beleive it, but the firmware thing is consistant.

Cannot remember what the issues is and cannot be arsed to go through google again and look lol.

I was wondering if anybody has the hard drive i have and if they are really good drives?

With possibility of firmware problem which can "brick" drive if it's shutdown when last marking to one error log was done to certain numbered entry field.

Performance wise Seagates have very mediocre/unbalanced firmware making them as slow (or even slower) in certain things than 5400rpm WDs.
 
My pc is not built yet will be in week or 2 i got it off the b grade from ocuk so i assume they tested it, plus if its faulty can i just update it with a firmware that they have out?
