Question Re The Command Window

Can someone please tell how to 'paste' text into the command prompt window please.

I used to know how, but my head's like sieve these days.

if your using vista / win7, ms stopped allowing you to paste into dos windows...

Selects some text, right-click copy, opens a cmd command prompt window, right-click paste .... works fine here on Vista HP 32bit ....?

No they haven't right click paste works as does right click on the cmd icon in the top left then edit>paste this works fine in Windows 7

To copy.
right click -> mark -> highlight -> enter/return key.

To paste

right click -> paste

That wouldn't have worked in any program as paste is Ctrl + v
