Question Time...

Cant stand the cronies that the government sends out to put out the fires. Starkey is the only one talking sense.

I agree with what Starky has said, to an extend. He does bash abit too much at the Politicians (as much as I like the jokes and bashing, it doesn't help much to a debate). That women from the Institute of Ideas (edit: Claire Fox) - whoever she is, is much better in the sense department.

He does have some good points, Brown wanting to pay MP's a daily allowance just for turning up? Its absolute madness and im glad the tories and the lib dems have said we wont allow this to get through.

That I agree. It's like I get paid extra just for turning up to work when I should - it's just absurd.
 
One of the audience had one of the best comments. If an MP doesnt turn up to vote on a bill etc they should be docked normal pay. Its a complete free for all in the house of commons at the moment.
 
I used to watch Question time every week, but when you step back and actually look at it really it's a load of old *******s.

It's just far too safe, nobody asks the real questions of our society and you already know exactly how each person on the panel is going to answer. The lefty will give the obvious left leaning answer the right winger will give the right leaning answer and Jo Brand will say something funny.

The program ends and do you feel any new ground has been covered or any ideas were actually thrashed out......no, not in the slightest.

There are a lot of clever people out there, scientists, writers, psychologists and philosophers with forward thinking and new ideas, why don't the BBC move some of them off BBC4 and onto the question time panel to really mix things up. We know what a Labour or Conservative politician thinks.....he thinks what the party tells him to think.....I'd like to know how some free thinking people feel about the world we live in.
 
I do like QT but like the previous person said. It really doesnt do anything at the end of it. Although its really the only opportunity you'll get to see politicians **** it up.

I also get annoyed at the audience a lot of the time, never seems like a true population spread in there, its either full of professionals, nurses, teachers, or someone with an axe to grind.
