1.I read that the 965 was only compatible with newer ones. Is this true? I do not have another processor to run on this motherboard to upgrade the BIOS if this is the case.

2. In the description it says (oc) beside 1600mhz, what does this mean? Is it able to run 1600mhz ram as I was planning on purchasing 1600mhz corsair dominator.

1) If you look at the cpu support list here, then yeah the new 125W needs the new BIOS, you could try asking which BIOS it ships with via webnote
2) The OC is because you will have to overclock it to get it to run at the full 1600, I think it runs at 1333 default, dbl check the memory support list too

I have just purchased a 965 and Crosshair III from OCUK and they worked together out of the box. I also got some PC3-12800 G.Skill memory and clocked that straight to 1600Mhz via the Advanced Tweaks in the BIOS without issue.

The Corsshair III is truely a top motherboard even down to the packaging and the features are endless (well not really but you know what I mean).
