hey guys so im going to have a 700d along with around 6 case fans, was wondering if im meant to plug them all into the motherboard to power them up? (do they even have enough fan slots?) or is there some other way?

thanks

the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R says this

1 x 24-pin ATX main power connector Connectors
1 x 8-pin ATX 12V power connector
1 x floppy disk drive connector
1 x IDE connector
8 x SATA 3Gb/s connectors
2 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors
1 x CPU fan header
3 x system fan headers
1 x power fan header
1 x North Bridge fan header
1 x front panel header
1 x front panel audio header
1 x CD In connector
1 x S/PDIF In header
1 x S/PDIF Out header
2 x USB 2.0/1.1 headers
1 x IEEE 1394a header

so for a h50 with push pull, and 3 1400mm fans and an extra 2 120mm fans, would i have enough slots there? sorry if i seem a bit dumb ;X

To both storm and super, note the pwr header can run fans, but can not be controlled via bios or software, so anything connected to that will go full speed. So is best for water pumps like the one on the H50/70.

The ZALMAN ZM MFC1 Plus is a very good fan controller that can control upto 6 fans, and is'nt that expensive compared to some.

Or the Nesteq FanMax is also another good one that can control upto 8 fans, google either as Ocuk don't sell them, and u will soon get to places that sell.

thanks for the reply!

another dumb question here, never used a fan controller, so do i plug and power all the fans from the fan controller then power up the fan controller?

looking at the Nesteq FanMax atm!

thanks!
